Graduate Student

Sebastian Condyles is a graduate Computer Science student from Richmond, VA. He is a member of Catholic Hoos and the University Singers. He also volunteers at the Tuckahoe Rescue Squad as an EMT. In his free time, he enjoys reading history and hiking in the Shenandoah Mountains.

Graduate Student

Harrison Snedeker hails from Washington County, Virginia and is pursuing a Master of Public Policy (MPP) in the Frank Batten School. He previously graduated from UVA in Spring '26 with a B.A. in Applied Statistics. He hopes to pursue a career aligning with his interests in rural advocacy, economic development, tech policy and research, or statistical reasoning. Outside of class, Harrison enjoys reading, traveling, and serving as keyboardist for Charlottesville-based popular cover band Scarlet Fever.

Edward Donahue is a fourth-year student from Point Lookout, NY studying economics and history. An active member of Catholic Hoos, he leads a bible study and serves on the organization’s social committee. Ed loves discussing all things history, with a particular fondness for the Civil War and Russian history. After graduation, he plans to work in the think tank world before pursuing a PhD in history.

Jolina Dong is a fourth-year Government and Global Studies major from Goshen, New York. Around Grounds, she runs the Speaking Center, is the communications intern for UVA Student Affairs, serves as a TA for Intro to Global Studies, manages the front desk at the Miller Center and lives on the Lawn. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with friends and learning new skills.

Rose Dorss is a fourth-year English major at UVA, proud to call Charlottesville home. She is a staff writer for The Jefferson Independent, an active member and volunteer with Catholic Hoos, and works in the Dean's Office at the School of Education. Upon graduation, she hopes to become a secondary English teacher, to share her love of literature and spirited conversation with future students.

Daniel Goldberg is a fourth year from Stamford, CT, majoring in Biology with a minor in Public Policy and Leadership. Around Grounds he studies the pathology of Alzheimer's disease, supports patients and clinicians through volunteer work across UVA Health, and frequents BRC events. Daniel enjoys hiking, running, and exploring hidden gems with friends. After graduation, he plans to begin his career in healthcare strategy consulting.

Josh Hanoka is a transfer student from Midlothian, VA studying philosophy. He plans to pursue a career in law after graduating from UVA. Josh is a member of the UVA Undergraduate Moot Court team and the Jefferson Literary and Debating society, among other involvements.

Conwell Morris is a fourth-year Political Philosophy, Policy & Law major from Washington D.C. As the son of a career Marine, however, he has lived on both coasts and many places in between. On Grounds, he is the President of WUVA, a student-run, independent news organization, the Video Director for the Fourth Year Trustees, a local lacrosse official, and a member of the Sigma Nu Fraternity. He plans to attend law school after graduation, while keeping his eye on media production and politics along the way.

Peyton Readler is a fourth-year Politics major from Columbus, OH. Around grounds, she is the Appeal Investigator for the Honor Committee, a staffer on the Cavalier Daily, an analyst for Profit with Purpose and Cavalier Strategies, and a Madison House volunteer. After graduation, she plans to attend law school. Outside of school, she enjoys running and hiking.

Margot Sellgren is a fourth-year Econ major from Arlington, VA. She is involved with the Jefferson Society on grounds and does research with Professor Charles Holt of the Economics Department. Outside of school, she enjoys cooking, sewing, and puzzling.

Maddy Bello is a third-year student double majoring in PPL and Psychology, and minoring in Public Writing and Rhetoric, with aspirations of attending law school post-grad. Outside of BRC, she is also involved in Hoos for Memory, VRoP, PAD, Best Buddies, and more. In her free time, Maddy also loves going to coffee shops and trying new restaurants all around the Charlottesville area.

Emilia Grabowski is from Fairfax, Virginia. She is double majoring in Public Policy and Leadership in the Frank Batten School and Environmental Thought and Practice in the College of Arts & Sciences, while also minoring in Spanish. After completing her undergraduate studies, Emilia plans to attend law school and hopes to return to the Virginia/DC area to pursue policy-related work. On Grounds, she is actively involved in Phi Alpha Delta (the pre-law fraternity), Virginia Review of Politics, the Honor Committee, Undergraduate Women in Law, and Class Council.

Augusta Halle is a third-year Commerce and Chinese major from Cleveland, Ohio. If she’s not at the BRC, she’s probably with the Virginia Policy Lab, consulting with SEED, hanging out at TUF, or at Morven interning with UVA Green Dining. Around Grounds, you’ll most likely find her on bike, a horse (she’s on UVA’s D1 Polo Team), or running around the trails! She loves all things food, friends, and fellowship.

Jacob Lewis is a third-year Economics major from Richmond VA. Around grounds, he is a counselor for the University Judiciary Committee, a consultant for the UVA Speaking Center, and the treasurer for Reformed University Fellowship. After graduation, he plans to attend law school. Outside of school, he enjoys hunting, backpacking and cooking.

Maddie Magielnicki is a third-year student. Around Grounds, she is involved in Honor, Smart Women Securities at UVA, and SEED Consulting. She is the Vice President of Outreach for the Blue Ridge Center Student Fellowship.

Claire Newsom is a current third-year student from Mclean, VA majoring in Economics and Data Science. She hopes to pursue a career in data-based economic and policy analysis, where she can meaningfully inform others on the best decisions for the common good. Outside of class, Claire is a research intern at the Institute For Family Studies, very involved in the community at the Center for Christian Studies including being a part of their Residential Scholars Program, a middle school Young Life Leader, and avid reader, piano-player, and hiker.

Jaylynn Perez is a third-year student at the University of Virginia from Chesapeake, Virginia. She is majoring in Politics with a concentration in Government and a minor in Leadership and Public Policy, with a strong academic interest in criminal and employment law. Jaylynn plans to pursue a career in national security, federal law enforcement and public service. She also currently serves as News Senior Associate Editor for The Cavalier Daily, is an active member of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, and is a fellow for the Karsh Institute of Democracy’s Civic Cornerstone Fellowship.

Nico Roppatte is a third-year transfer student studying Cognitive Science from Fort Mill, SC. He is a lifelong swimmer and enjoys water sports, pickleball, and hiking. In his free time, he plays boardgames, does jigsaw puzzles, and reads. He is involved with UVA Club Swim, PAD, and is an Orientation Leader. He intends to minor in English and to pursue law school after he graduates.

Zosia Collins, UVA ‘29, harkens from Falls Church, Virginia. She is pursuing a degree in the extraordinarily practical field of Classics, which she either plans to put to good use as a high school teacher, pursue indefinitely as a member of academia, or abandon entirely to plunge into the world of Think Tanks. Already deeply involved in Catholic Hoos and the local Institute for Family Studies, she is enjoying the Blue Ridge community as part of the Fellows program!

Molly Moore is from Falls Church, Virginia and is a member of the UVA Class of 2029. She intends to major in Political & Social Thought and Economics and aims to obtain and duel MPA/MBA degree after college. Molly is a Sustainability Advocate, member of the Business Ethics Society, and is preparing to bike across the country this summer to document and research the future of food in America.

Cullen Whitmore is a second-year intended English major from Campbell County, Virginia. They plan to get a Master's degree in Library Science for the purposes of serving as a librarian. They are involved in UVA's Forestry Club and plan to join the Washington Society in Autumn. They have a special interest in poetry and religion, and they can often be found discussing philosophy. They are also radically opposed to generative AI and spend hours every week arguing its evils.
